09/11/11 - Ten years ago

Today, many events nationwide mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Some call it a "National Day of Service and Remembrance" and others use the term "Patriot Day," although some form of the date - like 9/11 - is most widely recognized.

I was almost three years old, and my sister Kaila was just 14 months old (1 year and 2 months). We hope and pray this tragedy will never happen again!

In Massachusetts, Patriot's Day, April 18, is a state holiday to commemorate the battles of Lexington and Concord, which were the start of the Revolutionary War. They hold the annual Boston Marathon on that date.
